How do I join MOB? What does it mean to be an active member?
MOB is an open organization! This means anyone can join - simply find out the date and time of an event and stop by (you can find that information on our Instagram).
If you intend on being an active member, you must attend at least two events per month (one professional and one social). As an active member, you’ll gain knowledge and resources through MOB’s network. You’ll be added to our active member chat, gain access to our alumni network, and have the opportunity to join in on exclusive Active Member Events. As you grow with us, we hope that you’ll contribute to the community. We also offer an exclusive professional development program — the MOBster Program — to active members.
What is the difference between being an active member and being a part of the MOBster program?
The MOBster Program is an optional professional development program for active members. By joining, you will gain access to exclusive MOBster workshops/social events, complete a rebranding group project, and be paired up with an E-Board member as a mentor alongside other perks. If you choose not to apply, don’t worry! You can still be a part of MOB and we will have just as many events, workshops and other perks for active members and the general Baruch Student body.
How do I apply for the MOBster program?
Our applications will open once the Mobster Recruitment Event takes place. After you apply, we will schedule an interview with you. To qualify for an interview you must attend 1 professional and 1 social event OR attend the Mobster Recruitment Event.
Do I need to be a marketing major to join MOB?
No, you don’t. Because MOB is an open organization, we encourage everyone from all majors to join!

How do I join the board?
Executive Board (year-long commitment) applications open towards the end of every Spring semester. Chair (semester-long commitment) applications open at the end of each Fall and Spring semester. Keep an eye out on our Instagram for announcements regarding when applications open!
